Season 1 Credits
She may be dead, but she’s still pretty.
Okay, maybe not dead, but definitely no longer on the air.
Buffy the Vampire Slayer remains to be my favorite genre TV show of all time. Perhaps even favorite TV show, period. Throughout seven seasons onscreen (and several more after through comics, plus the original movie), we saw this quirky concept gain a massive following which, to this day, remains to be an extremely loyal fanbase.
Retrofitting Wonder Woman

Now here’s a Wonder Woman movie I would not mind watching, too.
Lynda Carter and Gal Gadot just absolutely nail the character. I wish Lynda would appear in the DCEU at some point. Come on, Warner and DC! You know that would be gold.
Tale As Old As Time

As expected, Disney’s live action remake of their animated classic Beauty and the Beast is as magical as the original. Although the new film is quite faithful to the first one, it still does have a few changes, primarily in order to flesh out the backstories and motivations of the characters. Some new songs were added along the way to enhance the story beats and the character arcs. All these resulted in a richer, deeper, and in many ways slightly darker approach to a classic tale that’s, well, as old as time.
Destroy Discrimination
by allancarreon on Mar.18, 2017, under My Life, Queer, Society
Yesterday, I joined a panel of bloggers and social media personalities in a Facebook Live broadcast of Senator Risa Hontiveros. Facilitated by Peruvian-Asian gay celebrity Sebastian Castro and supported by Atty. Jazzy Tamayo of Rainbow Rights, the “Bekitaktakan” was centered around the Anti-Discrimination Bill (ADB), a piece of legislation that would provide protection for a very vulnerable segment of Philippine society: the LGBT community.
The ADB has been languishing in legislation limbo for almost two decades – or at least, the ADB in various forms. The current version is the one that has made it the farthest so far, with a couple of interpellations left after congress went on recess earlier this week. (I shan’t comment further as to the reasons why it got delayed again lest I start throwing large, electrically-live appliances around the room in frustration.)

Remember him from the 2014 Asia Games? As George Takei would say: Oh, myyy.

Oh, come on. We’ve all been there. Don’t even try to deny it.
I knew there was a reason I’ve always loved Coca Cola more than Pepsi.
Now, I need a pool boy. No, I don’t have a pool. That shouldn’t be a showstopper.
I’m A Barbie Girl.

Happy birthday, Barbara Millicent Roberts!
Golly gee whiz, you don’t look 58 years old, darling.
You look as young as you did when you were first introduced to the world (in blond and brunette versions because: of course) at the American International Toy Fair in New York back in 1959.
You’ve had your fair share of controversies: from supposedly being an unrealistic standard for little girls to aspire to, to being targeted for prior lack of multi-culturality, to – heck – even having temporarily broken up with Kenneth Carson because: priorities.
And yet, here you still are, radiant and stunning, undoubtedly an icon in your own right.
Whoever thought of this deserves a raise.

Jak Attack

This has been around for several months now, but not only is it hilarious as heck, it started my slight obsession with Jak Roberto. I mean, seriously. Look at him.
So, so, so easy on the eyes, ammirite?
Mon Dieu! Il est un étalon sexy!
by allancarreon on Mar.03, 2017, under Queer, Travel & Culture
This already made the rounds a couple of weeks ago, but it’s always worth sharing and re-sharing. Because, mon Dieu! I think I got pregnant, and I don’t even have ovaries. Erwan, mon amour, you need to call me.
