Just because I’m in the mood and am tired of having to debunk various moronic statements every time the topic comes up, let me shoot down the common arguments of anti-gay and anti-same sex marriage simpletons.

This way, I don’t have to repeat myself; I can just point them in this direction.

1. “It’s not natural.” The animal kingdom is full of species that have documented homosexual behavior. But obviously, we shouldn’t let science and facts get in the way of our preconceived prejudices.

I’ve always been 50/50 about Miriam Defensor Santiago’s politics. She made some great laws and is undeniably highly intelligent, but she has had questionable allegiances (a real political butterfly) and had behaved despicably during EDSA Dos and EDSA Tres. Most disappointingly, she also got into bed with the Marcoses in the last leg of her political life, significantly marring her anti-corruption rhetoric.

Earlier this week, they dropped a mini-reunion of sorts of the primary cast of Will & Grace (which, in my opinion, really should have been called Jack & Karen back then because, well, if you ever watched and loved the show like I did, you’d know exactly why). Whether this leads to an actual full-on revisit of the show or if it’s just a one-off clip for the 2016 USA elections, only time will tell. Regardless, they’ve teased us with a new taste of this classic, and it is absolutely delicious.

To not follow-through with more would just be so cruel. Cruel, I tell you!

Okay, I know this video has all sorts of A-list celebrities, including several Avengers and Doogie Howser, but I’m sorry – I only actually geeked out at Tom Lenk.

Go, Andrew Wells! I still love you, and you’re still cute and hilarious AF.

I’m not really a fan of Yeng Constantino, so I wasn’t quite sure what to expect when I went to watch Ako Si Josephine, a musical featuring her songs (which, to be honest, I’m only vaguely familiar with).

I do love musicals, as anyone who knows me would know, and I’m especially thrilled that original Pinoy musicals have been experiencing a great renaissance in the last decade (the long-running ZsaZsa Zaturnnah which is long overdue for another staging, Rak of Aegis, Kung Paano Ako Naging Leading Lady, and the film I Do Bidoo, among others). Factor into the equation that two of my good friends are in the cast (hello, mga ses Ricci and Doemi!), and it was a no-brainer that I’d watch Ako Si Josephine.

The song about irony that was, ironically, irony-free gets a modern make-over, and it’s hilarious. Alanis Morisette even makes fun of that truism.

Is Alanis a vampire? She shows no sign of aging, especially for someone who made a living off of musical angst when Adele and Taylor Swift were wee little girls who likely still thought the world was all sunshine and strawberries. Alanis will always be queen.

As for James Corden… damn, what an adorable bear.

So my friends and I watched Oh Boy! at the Music Museum last night. Yes, yes we did. The primary common driver for most of us was to see rising artist Derrick Monasterio, whom I’ve been a fan of for a few years now. We’ve also been quite fond of all the other performers – particularly Aljur Abrenica and Jake Vargas, not to mention Rocco Nacino – but Derrick was really the main guy for three out of the four of us.

Because, well, look at him.

No, “love of president” is not automatically “love of country” (or vice-versa). Otherwise, then you never loved your country all the times you criticized Duterte, or PNoy, or GMA, or Erap, or Ramos, or Cory, or Marcos, during their time. How fallacious.

This kind of rhetoric is foolish and dangerous, one that has only been propagated by the likes of Hitler, Stalin, and ancient pharaohs who had set themselves up as gods.

People on social media dragging Jennifer Aniston’s name into the Brangelina divorce just for “a laugh” are pathetic.

It’s been over ten years, she’s clearly moved on, and her husband Justin Theroux is way hotter than Brad (#sorrynotsorry). I’m almost sure she barely gives a fuck, if at all. And while I’m not a big fan of Jennifer (despite being a Friends fanatic, she was my least liked person on the show), the woman is in a vastly different place now, and she deserves peace and happiness after a successful career.
