Double The Heat

by on Apr.21, 2017, under My Life, Queer

It’s been a year or so since I first watched the tease-y videos of Gustavo and Tulio, and I still cannot get enough of the Brazilian twins known as the Brothers Rocha.

And let me tell you: I’ve always had a thing for hot twins. And hot Brazilians. They fascinate and attract me.

(So can you imagine me reading about these gorgeous triplets recently? If only they were also Brazilian. Still, I sure will not be choosy.)

No One Really Knows The Square Root of 16.

by on Apr.20, 2017, under Film & TV, Queer, Snark, Society

This is old but still hilarious AF. What’s even more hilarious is how some people thought it was real. Parody generally isn’t for the brain-deficient, though to be fair, we’ve seen beauty pageant contestants talk about opposite sex marriage and “Iraq, everywhere like, such as,” so can we blame those who actually believed there were anti-Math advocates?

Especially when you consider the very real video being parodied and how moronic some of those real life contestants were.

Lord save us from the idiots.

Throwback: Misogyny Speech

by on Apr.19, 2017, under Society

She may have been a polarizing political figure, but former Australian Prime Minister – and the first female head of state of the country – Julia Gillard was at least on point almost five years ago when she gave a scathing, powerful, and historic speech condemning misogyny and sexism.

It remains relevant to this day and needs to be reflected upon by all.

Here are highlights of the epic take down of a misogynist.

A Very Posh Birthday

by on Apr.17, 2017, under Film & TV, Music & Theater, My Life, Queer, Travel & Culture

Despite all the criticism that she was the Spice Girl who sang the least, among other things, Victoria Beckham has always been and will always be my favorite Spice Girl. Even when she was still Victoria Adams, prior to her marriage to that gorgeous soccer player, she fascinated me: the classy style, the smouldering looks, the occasional smile, the cheeky deadpan humor. Victoria has a sophistication that I adore, one which I believe hid an ultimately down-to-earth lady (no matter what others thought).

And her singing voice? It may not be as powerful or polished as Emma’s or the Melanies’, but I always liked the quality of her voice in the same way that I love the bedroom-y, husky voice of Westlife’s Nicky Byrne (another “underdog” in his own group, love ya, babe!).

Luke At That!

by on Apr.17, 2017, under Film & TV, Geeky

So will they really be the last Jedi? Or will we see a rebirth?

I guess we’ll find out in December. Dammit.

Conquering Death

by on Apr.16, 2017, under My Life, Society

Death was conquered over two thousand years ago. On that third day, when the tombstone opened, death lost its power as light and life and goodness won.

Today, we celebrate that triumph and remember that sacrifice can bring true blessings as well.

To those who believe in the power and love of the Christ, Happy Easter to each and every one of you!

May you always remember and experience the profound joy that comes with the knowledge of and faith in Jesus’ resurrection.

Hallelujah!

Island Workout

by on Apr.15, 2017, under My Life, Queer, Travel & Culture

Seriously, I’d be running towards him as opposed to fleeing. What manner of mentally-imbalanced person runs away from Pietro Boselli? Sick! Sicksicksick.

Sacrifice

by on Apr.14, 2017, under My Life, Society

Sometimes, we think we’ve made a lot of sacrifices in life. But if you are Christian, you would always have it in your heart that the ultimate sacrifice was done on Calvary.

Have a blessed Good Friday.
